I am delighted to bring greetings to our new and returning students, staff (Ancillary, Academic, Administrative) parents and other stakeholders of our noble institution, Excelsior Primary and Infant School for academic year 2021-22. It will be an exciting year even as we navigate the uncertainties that the COVID-19 pandemic brings.

This academic year our focus will be Academic Recovery and Enhancement. We know there has been a learning loss, and despite the challenges we will be focused in achieving our mission which is to provide opportunities that encourage and foster academic excellence, patriotism, and leadership toward productive citizenship. The passion, dedication and expertise of our valued staff members will ensure that our students realize their full potential and are ready to meet the challenges of a globalized world.

I pledge to be your servant leader, with God’s mercy and guidance, who will strategically guide the institution according to the principles of the Methodist Church of Jamaica and the policies and directives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information.

Our founder the Honorable A. Wesley Powell, believed in “education from the cradle to the grave’ and I will continue to honour this legacy.

Age Animo!  – Do it with thy might!
