WELCOME TO A NEW SCHOOL YEAR!

It is with great pleasure that I bring greetings to all students, staff, parents and other stakeholders for the Academic Year 2022-2023. This year promises to be a memorable one that will impact our students positively through the input of all stakeholders, primarily staff and parents.

COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on the lives of all and while the pandemic has significantly subsided, its impact is still being felt and will be for years to come. As a school, we no longer focus on the pandemic but on recovery. In the academic year 2021-2022, our focus was on  Academic Recovery and Enhancement (A.R.E). From all indications, we have started the recovery and are happy that our students are slowly overcoming the impact. There is much more work to be done and we as a school will not rest until full recovery is seen and felt.

Academic year 2022-2023 the recovery process will continue under the theme Recovering Even Stronger Together (R.E.S. T). Our drive will is to achieve our mission which is to provide opportunities that encourage and foster academic excellence, patriotism, and leadership toward productive citizenship. The passion, dedication and expertise of our valued staff members will ensure that our students realize their full potential and be ready to meet the challenges of a globalized world.

I pledge to continue to be your servant leader, with God’s mercy and guidance, I will strategically guide the institution according to the principles of the Methodist Church of Jamaica and the policies and directives of the Ministry of Education and Information.

Our founder the Honourable A. Wesley Powell, believed in education ‘from the cradle to the grave’ and we will continue to honour his legacy.
