ACADEMIC RECOVERY AND ENHANCEMENT (A.R.E)
There are several deliverables that need to be completed in the coming year. However, first and foremost, is the continued implementation of the A.R.E. (Academic Recovery and Enhancement) plan which seeks to combat the effects of the pandemic. Students have begun to benefit from our pull-out programme which afforded them one-on-one instruction. For the new term, the expansion of this programme is our first priority, and we will continue to use this method to address the learning loss. Before this can become a reality, we need your financial support for the following: –
- To employ part time teachers to work with students in small groups.
- To improve the technological framework (bandwidth)
- To purchase classroom resources that enhance teaching and learning
- to complete our library space in an effort to further enhance literacy.
We encourage you to use the following methods to make your payments.
- Card/cash payment in the administrative office
- ABM Payment
- Online bank transfer
The banking information is as follows:
Bank Name: National Commercial Bank
Account Name: Excelsior Primary & Infant School
Account Type: Current/Chequing
Account Number: 371-558462
Branch: Matilda’s Corner
Additionally, we know there are parents who would love to contribute in other ways. Using THIS FORM, please indicate the skills and materials you will be able to donate.
Let me take this opportunity to thank every parent who has supported the primary goal of this institution, which is to educate the children placed in our care. Our approach to the new year will continue to be a collaborative one, where both parents and the school will work together to ensure that no child is left behind.
As we enter this festive season, I pray that the true essence of Christmas will surround your family and friends. Have a blessed Christmas, a prosperous New Year and see you all in January 2022!
