As we all attempt to navigate the pitfalls of the COVID-19 pandemic that has devastated the world, we hear from our very own Stacey-Ann Reid, a teacher at the Excelsior Primary & Infant School in Jamaica. Mrs. Reid, is a grade three (3) teacher who has worked tirelessly for many years to educate our nation’s youth. She is energetic, hardworking and passionate about shaping young minds.
Recently, PBC Jamaica chronicled a day in her life as a teacher, who must simultaneously teach her students as well as her own children. Truthfully, Mrs. Reid is not alone in her journey, as the global pandemic has thrown the lives of teachers across the globe into a tailspin. However, during this challenging period, our educators have dug deep and have found renewed strength, wisdom and positive hearts to rise above their circumstances and build a better tomorrow.
We salute our teachers, and pray that as we synchronise our hearts and minds, we will overcome.
