STEP 1 - STARTING YOUR CHILD'S APPLICATION
Before starting your online application, ensure you have selected the correct grade your child will be entering in September of this year. For example, many parents have selected the Infant 2 option in error, when their child/ward should be going to grade one. Complete your form, make sure you have populated all the required fields, upload the required documents, then click submit.
You will not be able to submit your form if: –
- required fields are left blank
- address is not filled out completely
- your email address is missing or incorrect
- the form has been left idle for too long
- your documents are not uploaded
STEP 2 - SUBMITTING YOUR SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
It is then time for you to get all your supporting documents together for submission to Excelsior Primary & Infant School. We will continue to comply with COVID-19 protocols and ask that these documents be uploaded with your application form. They must be uploaded using the spaces provided on the application form. To prevent delays in processing your child’s application form, please ensure text on these documents can be read with ease. Please pay close attention to this list of supporting documents. Applications submitted without these documents WILL NOT be processed.
REPORT CARDS – Students seeking spaces for Grades one to five must submit their last two (2) academic reports. If your child does not have a Christmas Term report, then the End of Year 2020 report can be uploaded.
PROOF OF ADDRESS – This document must have the parent’s name as well as the current address. For those persons who do not have a bill in their name, please submit any other post stamped document to verify your address. This document must be from a notable company and not an individual. In the event you are still unable to provide a document such as this, persons may verify their addresses with a letter from a Justice of the Peace.
COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE – The red and white copy that precedes this document is not an official copy of your child’s birth certificate. It will also not be accepted. Persons may apply for the official birth certificate and leave a copy of their receipt with their application.
STEP 3 - YOUR INTERVIEW
This is the third step in the process. Shortlisted applicants will be scheduled for interviews where we begin the process of getting to know you and your child. We are cognizant of the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it some amount of upheaval that may have adversely affected our students. This interview is scheduled for parents and reviewers to identify some of these challenges so that the necessary interventions can be planned to assist the children in our care. Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email and the interview schedule will be posted on this website.
STEP 4 - REGISTRATION
This is the final step in the enrolment process. Applicants will be asked to collect their registration packages and return the necessary documentation to complete the registration process. Information will be provided to successful applicants when the time comes.
